Turnover Mule (named after the delicious apple turnovers at Golden Harvest Farms) is an Albany-area indie-folk-rock quintet, performing original songs. In 2020, the band released their debut EP, “Year of the Mule,” and scored a year-end top 10 single, “Comatose,” on WEXT radio.

The band interprets the songs of the great female blues artists of the ‘20s, 30s & 40s: Bessie Smith, Sippie Wallace, Memphis Minnie, Billie Holiday, Rosetta Tharpe, Blue Lu Barker, Ella Fitzgerald and others. Other styles include western swing, bluesy country, and roots Americana.

A special FREE concert to kick off the new Klinkhart in the Park series.
This concert is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Kathy Hochul and the New York State Legislature and administered in Schoharie County by the Green County Council on the Arts—CREATE Council for Resources to Enrich the Arts, Technology & Education.

- August 5, 6, & 7 — free Shakespeare in the Park with the Vainglory Theatre Team
- August 12 & 13 — the Sharon Springs Dance Festival, featuring Bridgman | Packer Dance and TICM Dance/Theater. Performances, classes, & demonstrations
- August 27 & 28 — three performances of “Love Letters,” A. R. Gurney’s Broadway hit play.
And while you’re at it . . . go ahead and mark your Fall calendar for the 6th Annual Sharon Springs Poetry Festival. It starts with two new events:
- August 11 — the first Oscar Wilde Memorial Lecture, celebrating the 140th anniversary of the poet’s visit & lecture in Sharon Springs
- September 10 — a special edition of Muldoon’s Picnic, featuring the ever-popular band Rogue Oliphant, with special guests musicians Richard Thompson, Zara Phillips, and poet Patricia Smith (and, of course, Sharon Springs’s own Paul Muldoon)
- October 13 -15 — The main Festival event with featured poets Joyce Carol Oates, Jennifer Grotz, and Terrance Hayes.
