It all starts on Saturday, June 25, 2022, 7:00 – 9:00 PM in Chalybeate Pary, Sharon Springs NYwith the return of the FREE Wednesday night concert series in Chalybeate Park:

The Upper Catskill String Quartet

A special FREE concert to kick off the new Klinkhart in the Park series.

This concert is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Kathy Hochul and the New York State Legislature and administered in Schoharie County by the Green County Council on the Arts—CREATE Council for Resources to Enrich the Arts, Technology & Education.

Next up is the return of the ever-popular but long-absent FREE Wednesday night concerts in Chalybeate Park:
  • July 6 — Peter Paul & George
  • July 13 — Annie & the Hedonists
  • July 20 — Terry Gordon Quintet
  • July 27 — Turnover Mule
  • August 3 — Ryan Leddick

All performances at 7:00 PM in Chalybeate Park

And That’s Not All:

  • August 5, 6, & 7 — free Shakespeare in the Park, with Vainglory Theater
  • August 12 & 13 — the Sharon Springs Dance Festival, featuring Bridgeman/Packer Dance and David Grenke Dance Company. Performances, workshops, & demonstrations
  • August 27 & 28 — three performances of Love Letters, A. R. Gurney’s Broadway hit play.

And while you’re at it . . . go ahead and mark your Fall calendar for the 6th Annual Sharon Springs Poetry Festival. It starts with two new events:

  •  August 11 — the first Oscar Wilde Memorial Lecture, celebrating the 140th anniversary of the poet’s visit & lecture in Sharon Springs
  • September 10 — a special edition of Muldoon’s Picnic, featuring the ever-popular band Rogue Oliphant, with special guests musicians Richard Thompson, Zara Phillips, and poet  (and, of course, Sharon Springs’s own Paul Muldoon)
  • October 13 -15 — The main Festival event with featured poets Joyce Carol Oates, Jennifer Grotz, and Terrance Hayes.
