Denise Kelly is a freelance writer and editor whose professional background includes communications and public relations leadership, alongside many years of civic service in Sharon Springs. She has served the Village in multiple elected roles, including Trustee, Deputy Mayor, and Mayor, and has also contributed to regional organizations focused on economic and community development. She has served on the Board of Directors of Klinkhart Hall Arts Center since 2017 and has held several leadership positions, including Secretary and, currently, Vice President. She has also played an instrumental role in shaping the organization’s literary programming and in spearheading the Sharon Springs Poetry Festival.
