Observation and framing “found” objects. In context of Dance/Theater composition- The contemporary practice of dance, theater, and performance will be the structural template for skills application. This course is designed to illuminate the fundamentals of compositional practice for the student toward performance-based work in the initial stages of concept and sketch.
This class is designed to develop fundamental concepts of choreography, and to enhance and develop the student’s powers of observation, physical exploration, and articulation. We will explore basic choreographic concepts such as perspective, objective, and intention through the process of creating simple performance studies.
