Drumroll, please…
One year ago today we announced that we had received $720,000 in grant funding from New York State… Less than four weeks ago we announced that the O’Connor Foundation had awarded us a $50,000 matching grant. Today, we can tell you that we made it! Thanks to our incredible, generous supporters we have raised $50,000 to match the O’Connor grant!
We are so grateful to all our supporters, to everyone who believes that the new Klinkhart Hall will be a place for us all, a place “where art and community meet,” for Sharon Springs and for communities throughout our region!
What does this mean?
- It means that funding is in place for work to begin in Spring 2020…
- It means that with our other fundraising, we are nearly halfway to the $380,000 we need to fully fund the $1.1M first phase restoration of historic Klinkhart Hall…
- It means that this time next year we could be holding our first event at the “new” Klinkhart Hall, in the renovated 2nd floor Performance Hall…
Yes, it could happen! Read more about it here:
Phase 1 Plans & Updates
And you can still donate towards the $380,000 phase 1 goal. We need to reach it by the end of 2020 (halfway there already!)
